Liberation Theology Infused in Western Thinking

30 years ago, Richard wrote about an aggressive movement in the Roman
Catholic Church. This movement seeks a wholesale restructuring of
society on social and economic grounds. Its gospel is based on building
a manmade dystopia in efforts to seek “justice” for the “poor”. Christ
is twisted into a progressive Marxist revolutionary.
This movement is Liberation Theology. It is more relevant and ominous in 2020 than ever.
What do AOC, Bernie Sanders, Raul Castro, Jeremy Corbyn, Nicolas Maduro,
and Pope Francis have in common? They promise to restructure society
to redress “justice” for the “poor”!
As a former priest in the Third World, Richard personally had enlisted
to fight for Liberation Theology. The Lord mercifully opened his eyes
to disillusionment. Liberation Theology not only fails to deliver on
its utopian promises, but it also results not in freedom, but in
captivity.
