** HISTORICIST INTERPRETATIONS OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION.

Historicism is a method of interpretation in Christian eschatology which associates biblical prophecies with actual historical events and identifies symbolic beings with historical persons or societies; it has been applied to the Book of Revelation by many writers. The Historicist view follows a straight line of continuous fulfillment of prophecy which starts in Daniel's time and goes through John's writing of the Book of Revelation all the way to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.[1] One of the most influential aspects of the early Protestant historicist paradigm was the assertion that scriptural identifiers of the Antichrist were matched only by the institution of the Papacy. Particular significance and concern were the Papal claims of authority over the Church through Apostolic Succession, and the State through the Divine Right of Kings. When the Papacy aspires to exercise authority beyond its religious realm into civil affairs, on account of the Papal claim to be the Vicar of Christ, then the institution was fulfilling the more perilous biblical indicators of the Antichrist. Martin Luther wrote this view into the Smalcald Articles of 1537; this view was not novel and had been leveled at various popes throughout the centuries, even by Roman Catholic saints.[2] It was then widely popularized in the 16th century, via sermons, drama, books, and broadside publication.[3] The alternate methods of prophetic interpretation, Futurism and Preterism were derived from Jesuit writings, whose counter-reformation efforts were aimed at opposing this interpretation[4][5][6][7] that the Antichrist was the Papacy or the power of the Roman Catholic Church.[8

Several commemorative elements connect Anzac Day to the Christian gospel:

 

* The reversed order of bugle calls (with “The Last Post” first, followed by “The Rouse”) makes the point that each soldier in particular (and everyone in general) must die before rising, having gone to sleep before awakening.

 

* A minute of silence, between bugle calls, denotes the dead soldier resting in the grave, based upon the biblical and creational analogy between sleeping and dying with awakening and rising from death.

 

* The flag lowered to one banner’s depth from the top of the pole makes way for the invisible Black Ensign (the Flag of Death) denoting the temporary power of death, which is overcome by life as the flag re-ascends to its rightful place after the minute of silence.

 

* The Ode to the fallen makes reference to night, which involves the daily rehearsal of dying and rising, through sleeping and waking: “at the going down of the sun and in the morning ...” and we remember the soldiers asleep in the grave awaiting the trumpet call to life.

 

* Rosemary worn on the lapel (or added to roast lamb) may remind us that seed-bearing plants bear witness to the resurrection, as noted in 1 Corinthians 15:35-37.

 

* The Rising Sun Badge, worn by Australian military personnel, (featuring bayonets radiating from and protecting the crown on which is the cross of Christ) represents the Anzac tradition of serving Crown and Country.

 

It may not suit the modern theology of many churches, but Scripture makes clear that God can use political and military personnel to achieve his purposes for nations and kingdoms. The principle of loving our neighbour applies to nations, not simply to individuals.

 

Still today French children hold enormous affection for the Anzac militia who brought deliverance to some of their villages during the First World War.

The PANDA declaration for the protection of children and young people details the collateral damage done to the young by strategies not based on their needs. Are we prepared to find out in real time what collateral damage could result from a vaccination strategy that is also not based on their needs? The declaration states: ‘Children and young people do not benefit from the Covid-19 vaccine as their risk from the disease is almost nil. Pope Francis Goes Fully Woke Declaring ‘We Are Racists’ If We Believe In Borders, But Not A Word About His Pedophile Priests Molesting Children.

As he has done on other occasions, Francis compared the current problem of migrants and refugees to the flight into Egypt of Joseph, Mary, and Jesus when King Herod was seeking to kill him.

“The problem of the refugees is a problem that Jesus suffered too, because he was a migrant and a refugee in Egypt when he was a child, to escape death,” he said. “How many of them are suffering to escape death!”

The pope went on to praise a painting of the flight into Egypt by an Italian artist who portrayed Saint Joseph as a clean-shaven, modern-day Syrian fleeing the war with his child.

“An anguished face that these people have, just like Jesus, forced to flee,” Francis said. “He sent it to me and I made holy cards from it.”

“Refugees are subdivided,” the pontiff declared during a lengthy Good Friday interview on Italian television. “There’s first class, second class, skin color, whether they come from a developed country or one that is not developed.” “We are racists, we are racists. And this is bad,” the pope stated. To try and paint the Lord Jesus Christ who came to this earth by the direct will of God the Father, to be born in Bethlehem according to the prophet, as akin to an illegal immigrant is something so unbelievably stupid that it boggles my mind that someone who says they are the ‘Vicar of Christ’ could actually utter those words. Having borders is not racist, having national boundaries in not racist, and having admission standards to keep certain people out is not racist. You will find those same requirements in order to enter Heaven. Hey woke pope, until you provide justice for the thousands sexually molested at the hands of your pedophile priests, nobody really cares what you have to say.
