In any study of Bible prophecy relating to the Gospel age, it is essential to start with the prophecies of Daniel, for they are foundational to many of the prophecies of the New Testament; and without a proper and thorough understanding of Daniel’s prophecies, one simply cannot properly interpret and understand those of the New Testament.

These prophecies speak of great, momentous and sweeping events, covering centuries of time: of empires rising and falling; of the time of the Messiah; and of the Gospel period, right up to the end of the world!  They are of extreme importance to every Christian.  But they are not always easy to be understood; and Jesus Himself spoke of the need for carefully studying them so as to properly understand them (Matt. 24:15).  As the Christian does so, he will find them to be of immense edification.  They are not the mutterings and ramblings of some heathen soothsayer, filled with guesswork so ambiguous it could mean anything.  They are the distinct and specific words of the living and true God, given to His prophet Daniel.  They are the sovereign Lord’s own revelation of the future.  And they were precisely fulfilled through the ages.

We are thankful to the Lord that this book has been a blessing to many already, and our prayer is that it will continue to be  so to many others.

Vice President Mike Pence will address the tens of thousands of participants of the 2017 March for Life, the first United States vice president to do so.

Pence will speak to pro-life activists Friday morning, January 27, during the rally on the National Mall prior to the march, reports the New York Times. President Donald Trump’s counselor, Kellyanne Conway, is also headlining the list of speakers.
“We’re going to have heavy administration presence there,” confirmed White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Tuesday. “It’s no secret that this administration and this president will do what they can to fight for life.”
March for Life President Jeanne Mancini said that while members of her organization do not keep track of the exact number of participants in the march each year, “the number most important for us is 58 million, which is the number of Americans that have been lost to abortion.”
Mancini added that many women – disturbed by the pro-abortion march held in Washington, D.C., last weekend – have been contacting her office. Though the event was called a “Women’s” Rights march, pro-life women who attempted to join in were turned away.
“We are hearing from a lot of women who felt like their voices weren’t represented last weekend,” said Mancini, who said she called in volunteers to handle more registrations for the March for Life.
Trump had the following exchange with David Muir at ABC News during an interview:

“The crowds were large, but you’re going to have a large crowd on Friday too, which is mostly pro-life people,” Trump said, previewing the March for Life. “You’re gonna have a lot of people coming on Friday, and I will say this, and I didn’t realize this, but I was told, you will have a very large crowd of people. I don’t know – as large or larger – some people say it’s gonna be larger. Pro-life people. And they say the press doesn’t cover them.”
“I don’t want to compare crowd sizes again,” Muir began.
“What they do say is that the press doesn’t cover them,” Trump said.

A coalition of 25 pro-life organizations and two members of Congress have challenged the major networks to cover the March for Life (#CoverTheMarch).
Media Research Center conducted a study of media coverage of the Women’s March. Results show the major networks – ABC, CBS, and NBC – spent about 1.25 hours on that event last weekend, while they spent only 35 seconds on the 2016 March for Life.

Over 60% of Americans agree – the government should not fund abortion. But under current law, the Hyde Amendment, which protects taxpayer dollars from being used to fund abortions through government programs such as Medicaid, only covers funds appropriated through the annual Labor, Health and Human Services Appropriations bills. According to the U.S. Government Accountability Office, over 1000 Obamacare plans covered abortion in 2014. On Tuesday, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 7, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, which makes the Hyde Amendment permanent and government-wide. Specifically, this legislation ensures the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, conforms to the Hyde Amendment and all plans clearly inform consumers of what is covered under their health plans. Taxpayers should not, implicitly or explicitly, be required to fund abortion.  The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, is failing. Premium prices have skyrocketed, insurance companies have essentially deserted the market and BlueCross BlueShield is now the sole provider of Obamacare in South Carolina. Millions of Americans are being forced off of their health insurance plans, contrary to the oft repeated assurance that "if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan". Earlier this month, Congress took the first step in repealing and replacing Obamacare. By passing a budget resolution, authorizing committees in both the House and Senate will begin the process of replacing the Affordable Care Act while simultaneously repealing it.As the son of a doctor, I understand firsthand healthcare decisions are best left to individuals and their doctors rather than Washington bureaucrats. Congress is in the process of proposing market-driven, patient-centered solutions to ensure every American has access to quality, affordable healthcare. When it comes to brutality, it would be extremely hard to beat the Islamic State (ISIS).
In its latest atrocious act, the Islamist extremist group burned alive a mother and her four children who were caught fleeing the caliphate, or the territory it still controls in Iraq, Iraqi News reported.
The four children comprised of three girls and a nine-month-old boy. They were caught by ISIS militants in Hawija on their way to Kirkuk, a source told Iraqi News on Jan. 14.
Upon capture, the mother and her children were bound, doused with petrol, and set ablaze, the source said, adding that they were torched to death in front of a group of civilians.

EU may declare robots `electronic persons'

Members of the Europe an Parliament (MEPs) have voted to propose granting legal status to robots, categorising them as "electronic persons" and warning that new legislation is needed to focus on how the machines can be held responsible for their "acts or omissions".

The draft report, tabled by Mady Delvaux-Stehres, a socialist MEP from Luxembourg, states current rules are "insufficient" for what it calls the "technological revolution", and suggests the EU should establish "basic ethical principles...to avoid potential pitfalls".

Delvaux-Stehres's resolution was easily passed by the European Parliament
