Pope Francis made an impassioned plea for protection of the environment on Wednesday’s 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day, saying the coronavirus pandemic had shown that some challenges had to be met with a global response.

Back in October of 2019, Pope Francis published a book called ‘Our Mother Earth‘ in which he made the case, as he does today, that we have sinned against our Mother Earth, and we need to do penance and seek her forgiveness and blessing. Catholics listen to this New Age Earth Day drivel, and lap it up obediently as coming from the mouth of God Himself. Corona and the Elimination of Risk

How far should the state go in seeking to eliminate risk?

Life is ALWAYS about trade-offs. When you hop on a skateboard to have a bit of fun, you risk falling off and hurting yourself. When you go to a restaurant – perhaps especially somewhere overseas – you take a risk of possibly getting food poisoning.
When you fly somewhere, there is always the risk of a plane crash. Nuclear power stations may be good at generating much-needed energy, but are they too risky? Having cameras all over the place in public areas can be good in monitoring criminal activities, but there is the risk that this can lead to a police state. A wise person will seek to minimise risk – but within reason. If we banned all cars in Australia, guess what? We would then have zero car accidents and fatalities. But most people would say that the price is far too high to pay for this. So as always, we deal with trade-offs. For example, we are currently in lockdown for two reasons. One is that the initial figures suggested that we were dealing with a very highly virulent disease. The World Health Organisation initially suggested that the case-fatality rate – the proportion of people diagnosed with the disease who die – would be 3.4 per cent. This is a very high number which would have caused a huge number of deaths. But as we have had gradually more and more data coming in, those percentages have been falling. In many examples, more complete data are now suggesting case-fatality rates of 0.4 per cent. My guess is that it will end up between 0.5 and 0.1 per cent, and probably nearer to the lower end of that. So if the disease isn’t as virulent as was originally thought, the number of deaths will be correspondingly lower.  Dr John A. Lee has been a doctor and a scientist his entire career, and he asks some hard questions here. He says this about how governments are dealing with COVID-19:

 The coronavirus is nowhere near as deadly as all kinds of other things we take for granted in our lives every day.  We don’t shut down the world because of these things.  Yes, people are dying from the virus – just as people die from innumerable other causes every day.  Truly, death is a part of life!  And the numbers of those dying from the virus are very, very small compared with other causes of death. Worldwide, from 1st January 1 through to 25th March of this year:23 
Deaths from seasonal flu: 113 000; 
Deaths from malaria: 228 000; 
Deaths in traffic accidents: almost 314 000; 
Alcohol-related deaths: 581 000; 
 Deaths from cancer: 1 909 000; 
Deaths attributed to starvation: 2 382 000; 
Deaths by abortion: 9 900 000.

  But deaths from CORONAVIRUS during the same period:  21,000.
Folks, the numbers just don't "stack up!"

Lies, Damned Lies and Corona Statistics

We should all keep challenging questionable corona figures and statistics:

The old saying about “lies, damned lies and statistics” is always relevant, especially at a time like this. With governments, politicians and various ‘experts’ throwing around all sorts of statistics and numbers – often that conflict with one another – we need to keep a close eye on things, and keep asking questions.
And one key question worth asking is this: Just how long will the lockdown last? It was both Milton Friedman and Ronald Reagan who used phrases like the following: “Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program”. With those words in mind, let me repeat some facts that we have known about for a while now concerning the corona crisis in Australia (including the latest figures):
-Confirmed corona cases: 6462 – the curve has clearly been flattened.
-Deaths attributed to corona: 63 – the curve has clearly been flattened.
-As of April 15, our recovery rate was 98.32 per cent.
Others have been running with the following figures:
-Death rate: 0.98 per cent.
-Mild cases: 97 per cent of total detected.
-ICU beds in use: 1.1 per cent.
But STILL the government is offering us no sunset clause. STILL we have no word as to when this lockdown will end! That is becoming as problematic as the virus itself. Let me repeat one important figure here: thus far a grand total of 63 Australians have died in this country because of COVID-19.
Sure, it is always sad when anyone dies for any reason. But the over-hyped numbers and fearmongering that so many of our experts and leaders have been running with have simply not come to pass. We now clearly need an exit plan instead of more lockdowns.

His wife, Marcietia Glenn, is also sick with the bug, with church members offering their prayers. She is now urging everyone to stay home.

A Charismatic evangelical pastor Bishop Gerald O. Glenn died of COVID-19 just weeks after proudly showing off how packed his Virginia church was — and vowing to keep preaching “unless I’m in jail or the hospital.”

First of all, let me say how terrible it is when something like this happens, it doesn’t make me happy to have to write an article like this. But secondly, and I have been saying this for over a decade now, as much as pastors and preachers in the Charismatic Church like to think they have the apostolic signs of miracle healing, they absolutely don’t. Bishop Gerald O. Glenn, just two weeks ago, boasted about how ‘people are healed’ in his church, and that he didn’t have to practice social distancing like everyone else. STORY AND VIDEO HERE:

Police States and the Corona Clampdown

Is corona moving us in the direction of a police state?

This is my 25th article on the corona crisis. I have said repeatedly now that we have two crises here: the health crisis, and a political/economic crisis. In most of my articles I have been warning about overreactions by the state during this time, and of the cure ending up being much worse than the disease. As I said in a recent piece:

One can rightly ask, does it make sense for police to arrest solitary figures on the beach? Does it make sense to ban individuals from going fishing? Does it make sense to threaten ordinary people with 6 months in jail and $10,000 fines for violating social distancing guidelines? Does it make sense for the state to have drones flying overhead to keep an eye on its own citizens? The Roman Catholic Church is not the Church that Jesus shed His blood to create, it is the demonic counterfeit. Combined with Vatican City and the Holy See, it is actually MYSTERY, BABYLON from Revelation 17 and 18. Every pope for the last 1,700 years has pretended to be the ‘vicar of Christ’, the person ‘in place of Christ’ and running the Roman church. But every pope has also retained the title of Pontifex Maximus, the early pre-Catholic church fathers said that the Pontifex Maximus was the “King of Heathendom“, the evil high priest of the pagan mystery religion of Rome. And they were right.
This is not the first time that Pope Francis has asserted authority in his own name, it happened back in 2015 when he addressed the General Assembly of the United Nations.

God's Love in a Pandemic

These are momentous days when we find ourselves in the midst of a worldwide ‘discipline’ or warning from God, calling us to acknowledge and seek Him. And although we shrink from the thought, this is the reason for all unexpected catastrophes, whether epidemics, floods or vast fires. The Bible says these things will come more often in the ‘last days’, when atheism abounds and people generally have no thought or prayer to their Creator.

A warning from God is not like the last judgement, because it is an expression of God’s love, urging people to turn to Him, whereas the last judgement will finally close the door of mercy for those who turn away from Him. A warning is not permanent, and God has also given mankind the skill to control it, eventually. But a warning catastrophe pulls us up and humbles us, reminding us that we are only people, and that we are in God’s hands and accountable to Him.

Coronavirus has certainly shaken us more than any other catastrophe of recent generations. The relatively gentle approach of our UK scientific elite soon gave way to radical measures as the virus defied all predictions. Mighty China shook with alarm; the grim regime of Iran was stunned; Europe was soon sent scurrying to lock-down, and the all-powerful USA was brought to cower like everyone else.

As the pandemic proceeds, significant features become apparent. It is the elderly (like the writer of this) who are most at risk – those who have had a lifetime of opportunity to honour their Creator (and may have refused). The virus seems to say to the younger people – ‘you have some opportunity left: don’t despise the longsuffering of the Lord.’ Remember that while God is love, He is also holy and just. 

This may not be the last warning or discipline, although its full ‘indignation’ has not yet unfolded. Christians are praying for relief and healing for those suffering, and we are witnessing many acts of kindness among people, but it is vital that we heed the message and meaning of this pandemic. Its purpose is to call us to forgiveness and reconciliation with God, by coming to the Saviour, Jesus Christ our Lord, who has opened a way of salvation by suffering and dying for sinful people on Calvary’s cross. To trust in Him, repent of sin, and yield your life to Him, is to receive from Him a new and eternal life.

THE ''UNITED NATIONS" FLEXING OF MUSCLES: Begin Paying A 10% Global Tax For ‘COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund’ Amounting To $8.7 Trillion.

 

If countries were to accept the plan, the United Nations or some similar coordinating agency would be given the equivalent of approximately 8.7 trillion USD, an unprecedented amount that would be 2,900 times greater than the UN’s annual budget of 3 billion USD. The proposed plan would effectively place a global agency, presumably the UN itself, in charge of propping up the economies of the world during the coronavirus crisis, placing it in charge of 10% of global income.

FROM LIFE SITE NEWS: The United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, has announced the creation of a fund for addressing the global coronavirus pandemic – and he is simultaneously asking nations to contribute the equivalent of at least 10 percent of the annual income of the entire planet to a massive “human-centered, innovative and coordinated stimulus package” that would be administered at the international level. Although Guterres doesn’t state it explicitly, he seems to be connecting the new fund, which he calls a “dedicated COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund,” with the massive stimulus package plan, announcing both measures in the same press release.

Guterres also wants 100 billion USD for the World Health Organization, whose president has been blamed for helping to cause the coronavirus pandemic by repeating in January the Chinese government’s false claim that COVID-19 is not transmissible to humans.
He also wants the same organization to build an “interconnected Global Health Emergency System for data, workforce, and supplies.” Guterres says that the money would be channeled “not only to the business sector and lead firms, but to the workers and SMEs worldwide that underpin the global economy.”

Most of the world has been anxiously concerned about the deadly and highly contagious Corona virus. Many have had time to reflect on their mortality and to consider where they might be one minute after they die. In the spirit of love for all of our neighbors, I would like everyone to be aware that there is another deadly disease that has spread throughout the world and has no human cure. It is sin - "...the soul that sins will surely die" (Ezek. 18:4). We all inherited the consequences of sin from Adam (Rom. 5:12). While there is no human cure for the deadly disease of sin, there is one divine cure which is available free for the asking because of a love story, written in blood, on a wooden cross, two thousand years ago. Jesus Christ died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God (1 Peter 3:18). The divine cure for sin can only be received God's way, and that is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone according to Scripture alone. Those who die without the cure will experience the second death which is the eternal lake of fire (Rev. 20:14).
