On the George Floyd Rioting

What should we make of the rioting in American cities?

Most folk are aware of the tragic death of George Floyd that happened nearly a week ago in Minnesota. The 46yo African-American man was arrested by police but died soon afterwards while in custody. Since then rioting in American cities has been taking place.
It is hoped that all the facts and details of his death will fully come out in a court of law, and justice will prevail – for everyone involved. So that aspect of the case I will not comment on here. But I can discuss the rioting that has ensued – first in Minneapolis and now in numerous other American cities.

And as is also so often the case, we have the usual rent-a-crowd activists involved. Militants from interstate are happy to show up and foment trouble and violence. As US Attorney General Bill Barr said:

Groups of outside radicals and agitators are exploiting the situation to pursue their own separate and violent agenda. In many places, it appears the violence is planned, organized, and driven by anarchistic and far-left extremists, using Antifa-like tactics, many of whom travel from out of state to promote the violence. There is no right to burn down your neighborhood, but it’s always an option. Freedom means choice, and real freedom must include the choice of self-destruction — but not destroying someone else’s neighborhood. Especially not when the neighborhood is mostly black and poor. Ex-NYPD lieutenant warns about 'paid agitators' during George Floyd riots.

 

Former NYPD Lt. Darrin Porcher warned about paid demonstrators infiltrating ongoing protests and riots and emphasized the importance of communities working with law enforcement.

"As a former NYPD lieutenant, I refer back to me being a practitioner in New York City and the many instances we had -- what we referred to as paid agitators," he told Fox News' Arthel Neville on Saturday.

"These were people who were paid by specific groups to come in and quote, unquote, raise a level of anarchy -- throwing things, just creating somewhat of a miscreant society ... We knew who a lot these people were. because you would see them at one demonstration. Then a week later you would see the same demonstrator or agitator protesting all over again. They knew nothing nor cared anything about what the actual event was involved around."

  It didn’t take long.  As soon as the talk started about working on producing a vaccine for the coronavirus, and Bill Gates et al started to call for mandatory vaccinations not only to supposedly immunise people against the virus but also to possibly implant microchips at the same time, the Futurist prophecy pundits went into overdrive, hysterically asserting for the umpteenth time, “The mark of the Beast is here!”
  We shouldn’t be surprised.  Every time there is any hint of anything of this sort, we hear the same warnings issued.  These Chicken Littles have told us “the sky is falling” so many times we’ve lost count, and each and every time they’ve been wrong.  This vaccine/microchip/mark-of-the-Beast tale is just the latest in a long, long line of versions of the same tale, all delivered in their day with just as much certainty as this one.  Every single time it comes to nothing in the end.  But this does not stop the Futurist newsboys from calling out the same sensationalist headline again and again: “The mark of the Beast is here!  Read all about it!”  It’s a headline that sells their “end times” books, after all.

  Simply put, according to Futurism the Antichrist will be a future political or religious leader with vast power and a charismatic personality, who will cause the entire world to follow him and even worship him.  This belief has led them to put forward all kinds of men as possible candidates for the Antichrist as the years have gone by. Memorial Day 2020

On this memorial day in the United State of America, we bow our heads to honor those who gave their lives in defense of this great land. It has been a land that has boldly proclaimed "Liberty" for all the world to see.

The Christian history of this great nation is indisputable.  We desire to remember those men who’s courage was rooted in their salvation and were willing to stand against tyranny. Many lost their lives in the defense of liberty.  So today we wish to remember those who died to make men free.

At the start of the American Revolutionary war an almost forgotten group of Christian Pastors stood in defense of liberty. They were feared by the British and known as the Black Roped Regiment.  These men did not see a contradiction between standing for the truths in God’s Word and the principles of liberty. They in fact viewed the two as inseparable and led their men onto the battlefields.

Today let us remember Pastor Jonas Clark, Deacon John Parker, Pastor Peter Muhlenberg, Pastor James Caldwell, Pastor David Avery, Pastor David Grosvenor, Pastor Jonathan French, Pastor Stephen Farrar, Pastor Thomas Reed, Pastor John Steele, Pastor Joseph Willard, Pastor James Latta, Pastor William Graham, Pastor John Craighead, Pastor Dr. Cooper, Pastor John Blair Smith, Pastor Naphtali Daggett.

Dear fellow believers in God, the All-Creator, our brothers and sisters in humanity everywhere,
Our world is facing a great danger that threatens the lives of millions of people around the world due to the growing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. While we reaffirm the role of medicine and scientific research in fighting this pandemic, we should not forget to seek refuge in God, the All-Creator, as we face such severe crisis. Therefore, we call on all peoples around the world to do good deeds, observe fast, pray, and make devout supplications to God Almighty to end this pandemic. Each one from wherever they are and according to the teachings of their religion, faith, or sect, should implore God to lift this pandemic off us and the entire world, to rescue us all from this adversity, to inspire scientists to find a cure that can turn back this disease, and to save the whole world from the health, economic, and human repercussions of this serious pandemic.
 Pope Francis has endorsed the call to “the believers of all the religions to unite together spiritually on May 14 in a day of prayer and fasting, to implore God to help humanity overcome the coronavirus pandemic.”

The idea of this universal day of prayer comes from the High Committee for Human Fraternity, which originated as a concrete response to the Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together signed by Pope Francis, Ahmed el-Tayeb, and other Islamic leaders during his visit to the United Arab Emirate last year.
The goal of this ‘call to action’ is to have all religions, faiths and sects engage in their respective religious activities according to their own traditions- the Muslims will pray, the Hindus will fast, the Sikhs will do good deeds, and all vice-versa, in the belief that these activities will appeal to God in some way and he will respond by ending the pandemic.

**To maintain power for 40 years while their people starved and plotted to escape, the Communist Party had to get very good at controlling people and undermining anti-state activists. But outright street violence and assassinations weren’t good for the Party image, so the Ministry for State Security got creative. Better known as the Stasi (the German acronym), these secret police were the "Schild und Schwert der Partei" (Shield and Sword of the Party). Their sole function was to keep the Communist Party in power. They didn't care how.

1) They Were Gaslighting before It Was a Thing

The Stasi were prolific gaslighters. In the 1950s, repression was brutal, physical torture. Early in the 1970s, eager to be accepted on the international stage, the East German Secret Police had to get more subtle. The aim of Zersetzung (a repurposed military term meaning disintegration or corrosion) was to "switch off" any activist individuals and groups who might threaten the Party. The Police collected medical, school, and police records, interviews with neighbors and relatives, and any other evidence they could get and would then customize a direct hit on an individual’s mental health.
If someone looked like he might challenge the Communist Party’s legitimacy or control, the STASI systematically destroyed his life. They used blackmail, social shame, threats, and torture. Careers, reputations, relationships, and lives were exploded to destabilize and delegitimize a critic. Some forms of harassment were almost comical: agents spread rumors about their targets, flooded their mailboxes with pornography, moved things around in their apartments, or deflated their bicycle tires day after day. Others were life-altering: Individuals labeled as subversives were banned from higher education, forced into unemployment, and forcibly committed to asylums. Many suffered long-term psychological trauma, loss of earnings, and intense social shame as a result of Stasi lies.

 Not everyone is happy with various government lockdown and shutdown measures as States seek to deal with corona. Many have been critical of numerous matters, such as over-the-top shutdown measures, the erosion of freedoms, the devastation to our economies, the very real negative impact of these lockdowns, and the ugly culture of spying and snitching that has arisen.
