Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue Praises Buddha And Calls For A ‘Universal Solidarity’ Between Catholic Church And All Religions.
The Buddhist teaching on Brahma Viharas (Four Heavenly Abodes or
Virtues) offers us a timeless message of solidarity and active care. In
speaking about mettā (loving kindness), it exhorts followers to extend
boundless love to all. “As a mother even with her life protects her only
child, so let one cultivate immeasurable loving-kindness towards all
living beings” (Mettā Sutta). As the Buddha taught, practitioners are
equally encouraged to “make haste in doing good deeds; one should
restrain one’s mind from evil; for the mind of one who is slow in doing
good tends to take delight in doing evil”
AND THEY ALL WORSHIP THE BEAST! |
REVELATION 13: 4-6 4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7And
it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome
them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and
nations.
