The Change or Suppression (Conversion) Practices Prohibition Bill 2020 will put in place new measures to protect Victorians from the serious damage and trauma caused by conversion practices. The Bill denounces such practices as deceptive and harmful, reinforces that the ideology behind these practices is flawed and wrong…. 

The Bill also puts in place strong criminal sanctions for people who subject others to change or suppression practices that cause injury or serious injury — with up to ten years’ jail for the latter. That is especially so with those seeking to make excuses for great evil: they must resort to subterfuge, deception and cover-ups to conceal vital truths. George Orwell spoke to this fact: “In our time, political speech and writing are largely the defence of the indefensible. . . . Thus political language has to consist largely of euphemism, question-begging and sheer cloudy vagueness. . . . Political language … is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.”

The promotion of abortion is of course a classic example of this. Calling the killing of an unborn child a ‘woman’s right to choose’; describing the victim as merely a ‘clump of cells’; and referring to the dead baby as the ‘termination of a pregnancy’ is how the pro-death crowd obfuscates and distorts the reality of abortion.

Books, bibles and newspapers would be seized and destroyed under the SNP’s plan to criminalise “inflammatory” publications, religious and secular organisations have warned.

An unlikely alliance of chapels, kirks, gurdwaras, humanists, secularists, artists, writers and journalists have united in condemnation of the Scottish government’s Hate Crime Bill.

Only Muslim Engagement and Development (MED), an Islamic rights lobby group, and the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities (Scotjec) argued that the bill did not go far enough in the latest round of scrutiny by Holyrood’s justice committee.

The bill as drafted would empower police to seize “forfeited material” to “be disposed of in such manner as the court may direct”. The National Secular Society said in a submission to the committee before parliamentary scrutiny tomorrow...

In the space of a few short weeks:
-a radical pro-death leftist government is re-elected in NZ
-a radical pro-death leftist government is re-elected in the ACT
-a radical pro-death leftist government is re-elected in Qld
-a radical pro-death leftist government is (seemingly) elected in the US
Yet so many “Christians” are applauding all this. Clearly a very dark cloud of diabolical deception is descending upon the West. The crackdown and persecution of biblical Christians will continue to get worse. But such deception may be part of how God is separating the wheat from the chaff, the sheep from the goats. He always has his faithful remnant who will not bow the knee to false gods. And one day all evil empires will be no more.
