Re: The concept of present truth
I am starting to read 1984 once again. It's been
many moons since I last read it, but a quick peruse reminded me how
much this book reminds me of little vic and vicettes paradise of cf's
and worth, first fruit homes. What home are those you may ask? The bok
speaks of 'CULT OF PERSOANLITY' which means;(from Wikpedia) A cult of
personality, or a cult of the leader,[1] is the result of an effort to
create an idealized and heroic image of an admirable leader, often
through unquestioning flattery and praise.[2] Then we have the 'THOUGHT
POLICE": In the dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell,
the Thought Police (Thinkpol in Newspeak) are the secret police of the
superstate of Oceania, who discover and punish thoughtcrime (personal
and political thoughts unapproved by Ingsoc's régime). Using criminal
psychology and omnipresent surveillance (via informers, telescreens,
cameras, and microphones) the Thinkpol monitor the citizens of Oceania
and arrest all those who have committed thoughtcrime in challenge to the
status quo authority of the Party and of the régime of Big Brother.[1]
There is so much more that is spot on between dystopian 1984 and dystopian bcf. I know I must keep praying for God to reveal the truth of this (these) false leader(s) to those trapped in this horrific cult...those who want out, but are afraid of making a move, and to those (like my family) who believe tricky vic really does have the keys to the kingdom.
It's ironic because I was the one accused of having a veil over my eyes and of believing a delusion. While it hurt to be labeled in this way, I took it, didn't defend myself and actually looked to see if there was any truth to it. My prayer is that the ones judging would take a deep inventory into their own bad selves to see what is truth, what is fiction and what is 'present truth' (viction?).
***To paraphrase what Boundry Rider or Bagel once said, "Present truth is the biggest lie foisted on the body by vh. What is present truth? Anything Vic Hall says it is.
